Mr Lebohang Anthony Nyandeni, The Entrepreneur

By Moeketsi Montshitsi

The launch of the Start-up Entrepreneurship Academy saw many young and aspiring professionals attend the event on 3 March at VUT Southern Gauteng Science and Technology Park (VUT SGSTP).

This was the first-ever event created by the youth and supported by the youth.

The academy is the brainchild of entrepreneur is Lebohang Anthony Nyandeni, who comes from a family of six in Evaton. He joined the seventh cohort of the VUT/Sasol Entrepreneurship Programme in 2017 and was one of its top ten “highfliers” last year.

After the completion of the programme, he registered his business. The thinking behind his Start-up Entrepreneurship Academy is to assist people who want to start businesses but have no clue as to where to start and how to register. He wants to train people to write business plans and assist them to register at the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).

He says he would like his academy to be incubated at the VUT SGSTP, where he is negotiating with management, because he believes that the premises are full of entrepreneurs and go-getters who need this type of assistance. From here he can also target people around the Vaal and surrounding areas to support his business.

Lebohang Anthony Nyandeni-The Entrepreneur!

Lebohang was the ABI Eco Champion of the year in 2004 when he led a group of recyclers from his school in a national competition. In 2016 he won the Young Community Shapers Award and became its ambassador for the 2016/2017 season.

He believes that he will make his dream come true because he was trained at VUT and believes that the inspiration and quality of information he acquired can take him places.

You Need The Person That Is Next To You.

Many of us think they will and they can open business or companies alone. Today i would like to spread the message across the world at large that there are some of the things you can never do with your strength alone. You need the person that is next to you! Even if you can be a CEO of a certain company, you’ll never be able to run that whole company just alone. You need a person that is next to you. You need someone to handle your finance, someone to handle your admin someone to do tea for you because if you don’t, you’ll die with stress and depression!. Do not think you can do things alone, you need the person that is next to you!!!

Language In Our Society Today!

Language is a tool that we use everyday to communicate, listen, write, and perform various tasks. However it is estimated that  that one language dies out every 14days. Today we are experiencing what we call “Language Death and Language Loss” in our Society because people have decided to loose their identity and cultural practices because of modernization. What can be done to prevent our languages from extincting? I think like minded organization must partner with our South African Government to make sure that people are well educated about their languages. Me and You are responsible for this campaign. Me and You are the ones that are responsible for the crises we are facing today. Parents, encourage your to learn in their home language. As much as we are excited about taking our kids to Model C Schools whereby you find out that you child has to learn in English and Afrikaans only, what about his mother tongue? His Identity? I am taking about Sesotho, Tsonga, IsiZulu and other languages that form the 11 official languages of South Africa. I am looking forward to hearing of more solution on how we can preserve our languages. Lets Connect! What Do You Think?
